The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® – Connecting Made in Angola to the World

The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® – Connecting Made in Angola to the World

Contemporary design is at a turning point. As global markets seek authenticity, sustainability, and cultural narratives, Africa emerges as one of the most promising regions to offer new answers.

At the centre of this transformation lies a powerful idea: the relationship between designer and maker. It is in this encounter that creativity becomes tangible, concepts turn into products, and cultural identity takes physical form.

In Angola, this vision materializes through the Creative Hub by Cipro-Group an initiative founded by of CIPRO-GROUP in 2019, a state-of-the-art Interior Design, FitOut & Architecture company with headquarters in Luanda Angola.

It demonstrates how the continent can build bridges between creative talent and productive capacity. More than a physical space, the Hub is a collaborative platform that welcomes designers, artisans, and creatives, inviting them to work side by side with production teams from Cipro-Group’s various companies. The result is an ecosystem where ideas don’t remain on paper but become furniture, interiors, and objects carrying the seal Designed in Africa, Made in Africa.

The role of the designer-maker

The role of the designer-maker

Historically, many African designers faced the challenge of seeing their ideas limited by lack of access to production means. At the same time, local artisans and manufacturers often remained on the margins of global design narratives. The designer-maker model seeks to break this barrier: uniting those who imagine with those who build to international standards, creating a value chain that is both creative and industrial.

The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group responds to an urgent need in a world demanding sustainable and identity-driven solutions. The designer-maker model by The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® plays an essential role here: guardian of innovation and authenticity. By uniting imagination and execution, the designer not only conceives products but also contributes to building industries and valuing communities. Working directly with materials, processes, and people, creativity is transformed into real impact - strengthening local economies and projecting Africa’s voice onto the global stage.

The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® shows how this vision is applied. Through residency programs and workshops, young creatives from Angola, Africa, and the diaspora are invited to immerse themselves in a creative environment, working on real projects, collaborating with artisans, and learning to transform ideas into concrete solutions.

This process fosters the relationship between creativity and Cipro-Group’s transformative capacity while production teams benefit from new perspectives. The Hub thus becomes a living laboratory where experimentation, learning, and building take place.

Challenges and opportunities

Challenges and opportunities

The path is not without challenges. Fragmentation of creative industries, lack of investment in local production, and the need for greater international visibility are barriers that persist.

However, initiatives like The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® point to concrete solutions:

  • Invest in new industries that promote Designed in Africa, Made in Africa.
  • Create collaborative platforms that connect African designers with each other and with the world.
  • Value African talent as a driver of innovation and global competitiveness.

By addressing these challenges, Angola and Africa can not only participate in the global design market but also lead with a unique proposition: products that carry our stories, identities, and cultural values.

Think global, act local

Think global, act local

The impact of The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® is not limited to the Angolan context. By representing African design at international events, the Hub shows that the continent has its own voice and that this voice matters. But its true power lies in its ability to act locally within Africa: to create sustainable industries, train talent, and build creative communities that become references.

An invitation to collaborate

An invitation to collaborate

The future of African design depends on collaboration. Designers, makers, institutions, and clients all have a role to play. The invitation is clear: to participate in building an ecosystem where creativity and production walk together, where design is not only aesthetic but also social and economic impact.

The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group® shows that when designers and makers meet, design gains more than imagined - it gains form, to produce and to share with the world.

The Creative Hub by Cipro-Group believes in the power to transform Angola and Africa into a global creativity hub with Made in Africa production.
