The KSA’s kitchen trend project was started in 2022 out of a desire for the KSA to have a platform for their supplier members to showcase new products and materials and for some of their smaller members to have access to a platform like Decorex to exhibit their designs and have access to a mass marketing platform.

The Kitchen Specialists Association is the only organisation representing the South African Kitchen Industry and the consumer.  With thirty-four years of experience in the field the Association works tirelessly to uplift the industry while holding it accountable to the consumer for quality workmanship and service. Consumers who work with a KSA member have free recourse through the KSA’s dispute resolution service should they be dissatisfied with the member’s work.

The association is currently developing a strategy to expand membership outside of South Africa’s boarders.  During Decorex 2022 the KSA met multiple design and kitchen players from various African countries.  All complained that they had no similar association to give them support and credibility in their own countries.  The KSA would like to fill this gap by extending its support to design and kitchen companies into Africa.  They hope to have the project up and running before the end of the year and encourage interested parties to keep and eye on their website and social media platforms for more news.

The 2023 KSA kitchen trend project is being proudly sponsored by PG Bison, Sonae Arauco, Rehau, Max on Top, Grass, Vogue Doors, Neolith and Franke.  Their products and materials will be showcased in four unique kitchens designed and manufactured by Eurofit Kitchens and Cupboards based in Fourways, Montana Interiors based in Bloemfontein, Shumba Innovations based in Midrand and Island Board based in Soshanguve.  The sponsors work closely with the kitchen companies ensuring that each kitchen showcases different elements of their ranges with a focus on new products, colours, decorative panels and textures.  Key to the sponsors is for this project to also have an upliftment element and each year up-and-coming companies are identified, and access to the project is used to help the company formalise a showroom, become a KSA member and access a high-end platform of potential customers.

The KSA’s own stand will be located adjacent to the project at Decorex Joburg and representatives from the sponsor companies will be working from the KSA’s stand to support their four kitchen companies.  For anyone planning a new kitchen in the next two years visiting this project at Decorex Joburg is a must.  It is a one stop shop – not only will you get to see an array of kitchens, but you will also be able to access free, objective advice and guidance from the KSA staff and meet with the various suppliers whose goods are showcased in the project.
